2 things, we need to make a decision between two films:

    1. J.C.
    Alamo Lake Creek
    June 4th, 10pm
"Here it is! The Jesus biker movie! Jesus Christ is born again on Earth. But his father is a hardcore Southern Baptist, and during his teen years, Jesus rebels, joining a biker gang and leading an LSD-fueled pilgrimage to "the West" to fight "the establishment."

    OR

    2. Ladies of the 80's sing-A-long.
    Alamo Dowtown
    June 4th, 9:45pm
"It’s been almost two years since our last LADIES OF THE 80s Sing-Along, and that’s just insane! This show is one of the biggest and most robust Sing-Alongs we have in our catalog, and in the past we’d built two and a half different versions of it because one show just wouldn’t hold all of the ladies we wanted to include.

Well, that’s still true this time around, but instead of making different volumes, we’re just going to collect ALL of our favorite 80s ladies’ videos into one collection on the media server, and every night of this show will be just a little bit different. That said, you don’t have to worry if you can’t come out week after week (although you really should); the cream of the crop videos will be in there every time, and all of our prop-aided songs, from the red balloons in 99 Red Balloons to the trampolines for Jump (For My Love) and the rainbow of streamers for True Colors will be included in each show.

So come out for one show, or come out for all of them. Either way, we ask two very important things of you. One, plan on singing and dancing to pretty much every song, because the 1980s was the decade that invented the dance party (sorry, disco). And two, DRESS UP. Grab some leg warmers, rip up a sweat shirt, and put a headband on. Preferably all in neon colors.

The Ladies of the 80s are back, and we’re so excited we just can’t hide it. I’m about to lose control, and I think I like it."

then if anyone wants to join us they are more than welcome, although I think #1 is free for some reason?

Hey baby, you wanna buy a rat with ginger herpes
SEEEE Kansas has cool people. Case in point, the other day while tom is getting tattooed, I am listening to a story from the shop girl about a guy who walks around downtown Wichita with a bag of dead rats. EVEN BETTER is that he approaches people and tries to sell them said dead rats, like it's a fake rolex under his coat or something. Some rats are worth more than others.

Then I learned all about her boyfriend's Ginger Herpes. Yes, gingers, you now have your own special strain of Herpes, like swine flu only more herpeish. Which I also learned is transmitted via touch and/or sexual innuendos of a gay nature between straight males, one of which has to be a ginger.

I fall on the floor and I'm laughing
I was listening to 'Cecilia' by Simon and Garfunkel this morning. Now, I grew up listening to my parents records of theirs all the time(also John Denver, Janis Joplin, lotsa Motown, etc). Cept, today I really listened to the lyrics.

I remember my sisters and I would put on this song, turn it up, and dance around the living room. lol. We would also take a stereo outside and dance on the porch, without a care in the world, lol. we would also cover every inch of concrete and brick around the house with sidewalk chalk....we had a very creative mother.

ok, back to my point, wow this song has some really progressively sexual lyrics. Most notably:

"Making love in the afternoon with cecilia
Up in my bedroom (making love)
I got up to wash my face
When I come back to bed
    Someones taken my place"

or it could just be about a whore? hehe

I mean for a 3 or 4 yr old kid to be groovin to a song about open relationships is a funny thought.
